Safflower seeds are the preferred seed of the larger birds, the classic Cardinal, the beautiful Blue Jay and Doves however, smaller birds find this seed to their liking. ACE Safflower Seed is very effective when used by itself or in a mix. This is an energizing grain with very high oil content. Most importantly the squirrels are not attracted to the bitter taste and odor of the safflower seed which helps deter them from your feeders.
